1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Plot Forge ("the Service"), operated by Adam Tiainen ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Plot Forge is a web-based plot grid and story development tool that helps writers organize, outline, and develop their stories. The Service includes a free tier and paid subscription tiers (Pro Monthly, Pro Annual, and Lifetime).
3. Account Registration
To use Plot Forge, you must create an account using Google OAuth or email magic link authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account.
4. Subscription Plans & Billing
- Free Tier: Limited features, local storage only, no payment required.
- Pro Monthly: €5/month, billed monthly via Lemon Squeezy.
- Pro Annual: €39/year, billed annually via Lemon Squeezy.
- Lifetime: €99 one-time payment, permanent access to Pro features.
All payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Prices are in Euros (€) and may be subject to applicable taxes based on your location.
Subscriptions do not auto-renew by default. You will receive email reminders before your subscription expires so you can renew at your convenience.
5. Refund Policy
All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for any subscription or one-time purchase. Please review the free tier thoroughly before upgrading. See our full Refund Policy for details.
6. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create using Plot Forge, including plots, scenes, characters, settings, screenplay text, and all associated data. We claim no rights to your creative work.
Our Service
The Plot Forge application, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by Adam Tiainen. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the Service.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with other users' access to the Service
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
8. Data Storage & Cloud Save
Free tier users store data locally in their browser. Pro and Lifetime users have access to cloud storage via Supabase. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we are not liable for data loss. We recommend maintaining your own backups.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep Plot Forge available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your cloud-stored data will be deleted.
11. Limitation of Liability
Plot Forge is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable local law.
